Johnny Cueto and the Kansas City Royals were the big winners last night. Cueto pitched a complete game, 4-hit shutout against the Detroit Tigers, earning his first win with the Royals. He struck out 8 over the 9 innings. J.D. Martinez had the Tigers’ only extra-base hit.
Chris Sale and Rubby De La Rosa also notched their 10th wins this season last night. Criag Kimbrel earned his 32nd save of the season.
