Tomorrow, Clayton Kershaw squares up against the Washington Nationals. After a rough outing his last time out, I expect Kershaw to rebound with a strong performance. The current Nationals lineup has a .191 average against Kershaw with 50 strikeouts vs. just 7 walks and 3 home runs. Bryce Harper has 6 of those strikeouts to his name, collecting only 1 hit. Though he will be expensive in a daily league, I would spend the money where the points are, and get Kershaw in your lineup.
I also think Edison Volquez is a great choice as a second pitcher in daily fantasy leagues. He has been dominant against the Tigers’ current lineup (.174 batting average against in 48 ABs). He should be much cheaper than other number 2 options like Jordan ZImmerman and Jacob deGrom.
